Meet: Will

Will is a Compton based artist, photographer, and teacher who comes to The Makers Hub to turn ideas into tangible work. On this visit, he is creating custom birthday cards using the Hub’s sublimation printer.

He first discovered The Makers Hub while searching for access to a sublimation printer. What started as a single need quickly expanded once staff introduced him to the full range of tools and services available.

For Will, access has always been the missing piece. Like many creatives, he had ideas he wanted to explore but felt limited by cost and lack of resources. Walking into a space where those barriers are removed has changed how he approaches his work.

I knew I didn’t have the money or resources to do it, so now that there’s a space that offers those resources it’s kind of opening up my mind to new ideas .

Each visit sparks something new. One idea leads to another. Possibilities stack quickly. Instead of asking whether something is feasible, Will now asks what he wants to try next.

The challenge is no longer access. It is choosing which idea to pursue first.

The Makers Hub gives artists like Will the room to experiment, build, and expand their creative practice without limitation. For him, it is not just a workspace. It is a place where ideas finally have space to grow.
