We believe access to tools, hands-on skills, and creative space should not be a privilege, but a shared community resource. The Makers Hub is a nonprofit tool lending library and makerspace rooted in Compton, created to remove financial and structural barriers to learning. We provide affordable access to tools, workshops, and equipment so individuals of all ages can build, repair, create, and grow.
Through hands-on workshops in woodworking, sewing, laser cutting, 3D printing, electrical basics and other skilled trades, we create pathways for practical skill-building and creative exploration. We also partner with local schools such as Compton High School and Lifeline Charter School to bring workshops directly to students — giving young people early exposure to trade skills, creative technology, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Our space is more than a building! It is a safe, welcoming environment where confidence is built alongside practical skills. Through shared learning, mentorship, and access to industry-grade equipment, we help transform curiosity into capability and capability into opportunity.
