April 29, 2023. The Makers Hub is proud to have participated in another resource fair in the Greater Compton Area! This community resource fair was organized by the Compton Advocates and aimed to bring together sixty nonprofit and government agencies to offer resources to the local community.
Our team was excited to represent The Makers Hub and to promote the Compton Tool Library to the community. We were thrilled to see so many visitors at our booth, and we were able to teach them about the multitool and show them how to make buttons.
As part of our commitment to community involvement and engagement, we partnered with the Compton Advocates to spread the word about access to tools and equipment for a variety of projects, including home repairs, gardening, and DIY projects. At the resource fair, we provided visitors with information about our upcoming tool drive and the Compton Tool Library. On top of that, we brought our button maker and gave away multitool keychains!
The Makers Hub is a community-oriented organization with a mission to foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship by providing access to tools, technology, and education to the Greater Compton Area. We plan to offer a variety of resources and workshops for individuals to learn new skills, work on personal projects and connect with others in the community.
Our participation in the Compton Advocates Resource Fair was just one example of how we are committed to supporting and empowering the community. We are so grateful to everyone who took the time to visit our booth at the fair. It was wonderful to see so many members of the community come together to learn about the resources available to them. Meeting new people and discussing how we can work together to improve our community is what makes events like this so special. We look forward to continuing our outreach efforts and connecting with even more members of our community in the future.
